C\u2019est un journal politique et litt\u00e9raire orient\u00e9 \u00e0 gauche dont le fondateur est Gaston Gallimard. Il se pr\u00e9sente comme l\u2019hebdomadaire de l\u2019\u00e9lite intellectuelle fran\u00e7aise et \u00e9trang\u00e8re. Son dernier num\u00e9ro para\u00eetra en ao\u00fbt 1940. Andr\u00e9 Malraux participa \u00e0 la conception de la maquette de MARIANNE. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u00a0D\u00e8s 1933, les photomontages politiques sign\u00e9s par Marinus sont la marque de fabrique du journal, qui en publiera plus de 250.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Marinus a \u00e9migr\u00e9 \u00e0 Paris, d\u00e8s 1909. Il s\u2019illustre par ses photomontages satiriques dans la plupart des Unes de MARIANE entre 1933 et 1940.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u00a0\u00a0Il s\u2019inspire des chefs d\u2019\u0153uvre classiques (L\u00e9onard de Vinci,\u00a0Breughel,\u00a0Delacroix,\u00a0Rodin\u2026) et du cin\u00e9ma (King Kong,\u00a0Ben Hur\u2026) pour mettre en sc\u00e8ne dans des postures cocasses les va-t-en-guerre et les leaders politiques de l\u2019\u00e9poque. Cibles privil\u00e9gi\u00e9es de ses photomontages:\u00a0Hitler\u00a0et\u00a0Staline.
